Lost Ark Dimensions Unbound: the Dimensionalist and a shorter path from Tier 3 to Tier 4
The Dimensions Unbound update went live on September 16, 2026 after about six hours of maintenance. It adds the Dimensionalist, changes how gear progresses from Tier 3 to Tier 4, eases Advanced Honing, brings seven Guardians back to the Guardian's Shade and starts four events.
The Dimensionalist
The Dimensionalist is a new class. Choose the Male Specialist at character creation to start in Trixion. The class comes with seven craftable skins, a global chat icon, achievements, titles and trophies, and its awakening quests and skill items are in the game. Recommended skills are available, and skill data follows on September 23.
From Tier 3 to Tier 4
Normal Honing now starts with Tier 4 Relic gear, the Determination of Destiny set, and Akkan gear can no longer be honed normally. Honing unlocks after the North Kurzan main quest The Way Forward. The South Kurzan world quest Blazing Flames of Warr gives a Tier 3 Honor Brand set at Honing 15 and item level 1600, fixed at quality 70 and unable to be dismantled. The Determination of Destiny Gear Set Chest now holds Honing 10 gear at item level 1640 with no item level requirement.
Tier 3 upper honing materials now serve only Akkan Advanced Honing, and the Honing Material Exchange NPC turns them into Tier 4 materials. They no longer drop from endgame content, the Ebony Cube, field bosses, Chaos Gates and Chaos Dungeons. Of the Powerpass options, only the South Rimeria II Pass remains, which sets a character to item level 1660 at once.
Advanced Honing and the Growth Boost shop
Stage 2 and stage 4 tempering of Advanced Honing take different materials, and the Eye of Alcaone and the Thunder Globe still work. Ancestor's Grace orbs drop more often for Advanced Honing stages 1 to 40. The Single Mode tab of the shop is now Growth Boost and sells the Epic Astrogem Selection Chest, the Astrogem Processing Reset Ticket and bound Tier 4 Metallurgy and Tailoring selection chests.
Guardians and Paradise
The Guardian's Shade adds Kungelanium, Hanumatan, Deskaluda, Igrexion, Velganos, Achates and Alberhastic. Kungelanium appears alone for one week, after which 15 Guardians rotate weekly. Patterns that ask for a Counter Attack or a Perfect Block were added, some threatening patterns were removed or eased and HP was adjusted. Paradise Season 4 raises the damage of the Orb of the Spreading Mist by 20% and the HP recovery of the Orb of the Blazing Sun to 40,000.
Raid gold and balance
Gold from Thaemine the Lightqueller is now fully roster-bound, with the total unchanged. The totals of Kazeros Raid Act 4, the Kazeros Raid Denouement and the Shadow Raid Serca were reduced: the second gate of Act 4 on Hard went from 27,000 to 24,500 Gold. The Gold cost of View More bonus rewards fell for Kazeros Raid Acts 3 and 4 and the Denouement.
Balance changes include a +5.7% PvE damage on every skill of the Gunlancer except the basic attack, and a +20.0/22.0% Overdrive Damage per stack, up from 13.0/15.0%, on the Berserker's 17-point Order Sun Core: Power Drive. The Soulfist is reworked: Flash Step unlocks at level 10 instead of 16 with a 12 second cooldown, and Supreme Art replaces Hype and Energy Overflow in its passive system.
Events and the Ark Pass
Four events run on the Dimensions Unbound schedule. Mokoko Base Camp: Jump-Up Boost!, Maharaka Returns and Rapid Growth run from September 16, 2026 to January 20, 2027, and Cahni Racing runs to November 18, 2026. The Ark Pass: Tenebrous Judge runs to November 11, 2026 and rewards the Tenebrous Judge Skin Set.
