How to place Kakul-Saydon Bingo bombs safely

In Kakul-Saydon Gate 3 in the Midnight Circus, every bomb flips the cell it lands on and its four neighbours on a 5 by 5 board, and every third bomb must complete a line of five that was not complete before it. The Kakul-Saydon Bingo assistant marks the cells that satisfy the third bomb for the board you set.

Set the board

Choose Normal or Inferno. In Normal, click the two skull tiles the fight starts with. In Inferno, click the special tile first and then the one skull tile. A bomb that covers the special tile ends the run, so those cells are dimmed as unsafe.

Worked case: skulls at the second row and the fourth row

Mark the cells at row 2 column 2 and row 4 column 4 as skulls. The first bomb lands in the middle of the board and the second in the top left corner. Click the middle cell, then the corner. Edge cells lose the neighbours that fall outside the board, so the corner bomb flips only three cells.

Now the board shows the third bomb. Five cells are outlined in green as completing a line: the top row's fourth cell, the right column's second cell, the bottom row's second cell, the left column's fourth cell and the bottom right corner. Every other cell fails the requirement. Hover a cell to see how many lines it completes and how many cells would complete a line for the bomb after it, which separates two equal choices.

Undo, share and practice

Undo removes the last bomb, then the setup marks. The board is in the page address, so a link restores it exactly. Practice deals a random setup and asks you to click where each bomb lands, ending on a missed requirement or the special tile, and keeps the bombs you survived for each mode.

The page does not know the time between bombs or how the game picks the setup tiles.
