From the time they can walk, Assar Delains are taught to wield weapons, and upon reaching ten years old, they participate in their first hunt as a rite of adulthood. The first hunt usually involves hunting a demon with a severed hand as proof of triumph. They dry and store the demon's hand, which, according to legend, brings unusual luck.
